Freddie shares his experience of helping our food & drink clients in leading trade magazine, The Grocer

Our Technical Graduate, Freddie Keen recently featured in The Grocer, the UK’s leading trade magazine for the food and drink industry.

Freddie was profiled in the ‘My Food Job’ column, sharing his experiences of working at Pentadel and how he supports our team helping clients solve their production challenges to grow their businesses.

The Grocer’s online column showcases young people aged 25 and under working in the UK food & drink industry. It aims to highlight young talent and inspire others to consider a career in the industry.

It was a great opportunity for Freddie to talk about his day-to-day role at Pentadel and how he works with our food and drink clients, while making the most of his Chemical Engineering BEng degree and his postgraduate degree in Food Process Engineering MSc.

Freddie also shared his enthusiasm for supporting the industry and why more young people should consider a career within it:

“It’s hugely exciting to be working within the UK’s largest manufacturing sector at a time when the British food industry is growing and innovating at such a fast pace.

There’s so much change going on with consumer habits, diets and shopping methods that it’s really challenging food and drink producers at every level.  To be able to help food brands such as Tyrrells, Hello Fresh and Charlie Bighams solve complex production issues and to offer real solutions to influence and improve the quality of their products is amazing.

Seeing a product on a supermarket shelf and knowing that through my job at Pentadel I’ve played a part in helping it get there is an incredible feeling.”
